As a dedicated optometrist, Dr. Wood grew increasingly frustrated by the number of patients who would come into his office on Monday mornings with eye conditions that had worsened over the weekend. Many of these patients had not received the urgent care they needed and, as a result, suffered permanent damage to their vision.

Recognizing a critical gap in the world of optometry, Dr. Wood knew something had to change. He saw firsthand the deficiency in available care outside of regular office hours and felt compelled to act. That’s when Urgent Eyecare was born—a service designed to provide immediate, professional eye care when traditional offices are closed.
